A Brief History.....

Walter T. Kelley was known internationally as "The Bee Man," having spent more than 60 years manufacturing beekeeping equipment and promoting the production of honey.  Mr. Kelley first began manufacturing bee hives in Houma, Louisiana in 1924.  Within ten years his business had grown so that he felt he needed to be in a more centrally located area in order to serve the entire United States.  In 1934 he moved his bee hive factory to Paducah, Kentucky and remained there until 1952 when he again relocated, this time in Clarkson, Kentucky where the plant continues to operate.
